Objective
Patient Profile
138 consecutive patients who underwent successful coronary stenting for NSTE ACS
Study Design
- The discharged patients, in addition to dual anti-platelet therapy were randomized 1:1 to receive rosuvastatin 20 mg or atorvastatin 80 mg.
- Clinical follow-up was done 1 month after hospital discharge.
Results
Patients receiving rosuvastatin 20 mg and atorvastatin 80 mg showed no differences for LDL-C, patients attaining LDL-C goals, HDL-C and hs-CRP.
Conclusion
After coronary stenting for NSTE ACS, rosuvastatin 20 mg and atorvastatin 80 mg have similar effects on lipid and anti-inflammatory parameters.
