Myth: Shampooing causes hair loss
Fact: Just like shampoo can?t make your hair grow faster, shampooing won?t cause your hair to fall out. Cleansing is necessary to keep your hair healthy.
Myth: Brush your hair frequently makes it look healthier
Fact: This is now known to damage your hair. Brushing pulls out hair that isn?t ready to fall out, often breaks healthy hairs. Brush gently for styling only and not to stimulate the scalp.
Myth: Trimming your hair regularly makes it grow faster
Fact: Hair growth happens at the scalp. The frequency of trims has nothing to do with how fast (or slow) your hair will sprout. Regular trims prevent split ends and breakage.
Myth: If you pluck one grey hair, it will result in multiple grey hairs sprouting from the scalp
Fact: Hair colour is due to melanin in the hair follicle. So, hair turns grey or white when cells stop's producing melanin pigment. Hence, plucking the grey hair will not increase their number.
Myth: Shaving your hair will make it grow back thicker
Fact: Hair grows from healthy follicles in your scalp. Shaving your head has no way of increasing the number of or improving the quality of healthy hair follicles in your scalp. It won?t create thicker hair either.
