The preemptive administration of Ibuprofen reduce postoperative pain scores, opioid consumption and incidence of postoperative nausea or vomiting. Hence,  IV-ibuprofen can be considered as an option to offer patients a significant analgesic benefit while reducing the risks associated with morphine administration.
