In recent research, hysterectomy, with or without ovarian preservation, significantly raised the risk of metabolic syndrome. Over a 10.5-year period, 29% of those with a history of hysterectomy and 22% with oophorectomy developed metabolic syndrome. Notably, both hysterectomy [HR, 1.32] and hystero-oophorectomy [1.40] were strongly linked to incident metabolic syndrome compared to those without these procedures.

- As per the analysis of 12 studies (n=1248), CGM (both real-time & intermittent) reduced HbA1c by 0.31% vs SMBG in T2DM patients
- CGM improved time in target glucose range (+6.36%) & decreased time below range (-0.66%), time above range (-5.56%), & glycemic variability (-1.47%)
- Limited data showed an insignificant increase in severe hypoglycemia & microvascular complications with CGM vs SMBG
