Chronic vascular and structural heart diseases such as peripheral arterial disease, chronic ischemic heart disease, and valvular disorders were also more prevalent following PN diagnosis, particularly among female patients.

Erenumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting the calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor, has shown potential in treating individuals with rosacea-associated erythema and flushing. Administered every 4 weeks for 12 weeks, erenumab significantly decreased days with flushing and erythema compared to baseline. Adverse events were mostly mild and transient, with constipation being the most common.
